Invitations

Invitations should reflect the style and fashion of the wedding or party your guests can expect to attend. If your event has a specific theme, by all means, your invitations should follow through with that theme in mind - especially for a party.

When selecting wedding invitations, you will find they range from the very formal, to the extremely casual. Keep in mind the style of wedding you are having, the colors or the theme, and that will help guide you. A stationer or coordinator, if you are using one, can also guide you properly as to the type of invitation you need. Typestyles vary, and you will be offered a large variety to choose from. Colors of ink also vary, but for the most traditional wedding invitation, you will want to choose a black, soft black or a grey ink. Special party invitations can have any color ink!

Part of the Wedding Invitation will also include a reception card, better known as an "enclosure." The information on this card will be just to tell what kind of a reception and where it will be following the wedding ceremony. The next part of the wedding ensemble will be the "response set." This is the card in which the guest replies if they are able to attend or not, and the envelope with it is pre-addressed back to you.

The informals (or "thank you" notes for gifts) are a matching fold-over note which will have the bride and groom's name on the outside of the note. This can have the first two names of each, or the first names as well as the last name. If you are sending notes out prior to the wedding, never send a note that has your new married name on it. Use notes that have only the bride’s full name or the first names of the bride and groom. After the wedding, you may use any notes. Usually, it is recommended you order two sets of notes - one with the first names only and the other set with the married name, ie: Lucy and John Jones, or Mr. and Mrs. John Jones(casual or formal). Informal notes will NEVER go to waste!!! They can be used for any "thank you" later on, as well as any note you may wish to write for any reason. I even use notes for gifts when I want to send a message or thought and it is too much to fit on those small gift enclosures.

Changes after proof is submitted is $10.00 per item.

Calligraphy charges:

1) Addressing the front of the invitation envelope
2) Set-up Fee $25.00
3) Basic Calligraphy to match the invitation is $1.50 per envelope
4) Fancier Calligraphy will range between $1.50 - $2.00 (and we are happy to provide up to 3 different choices for you to see)

Thank you Notes with your name(s) on front of note and return address on back flap at $1.25 per set. These are available in White or Ivory to match the background on most invitations we use.

Rush Orders will carry an additional charge of $50.00. Most orders will be done within 2 weeks and on the way back to you. Shipping is charged as per our standard shipping charges on this website.

HINTS FOR ORDERING INVITATIONS:

1) Remember that Mr. and Mrs. Counts as only 1 invitation
2) Always order 25 extra invitation sets. If you need them afterward, you will be charged for a complete new order, whereas ordering them with the initial order, the price is extremely reasonable.
3) If using a calligrapher (or even if you are addressing) you will need a set of 25 extra envelopes. To err is only human, and mistakes are made. Be prepared in advance to save a lot of headaches.
